OUR STORY

Primal Sweets were created by Isabel McNeill as a convenient solution for increasing the intake of animal-based nutrients. After Isabel realized her vitamin B12 levels were low, she sought the most bioavailable and natural source of this crucial nutrient. She learned that beef liver is a top dietary source of vitamin B12; however, beef liver is not sold at most supermarkets, and it can be difficult to incorporate into the diet because of its distinct flavor.
This led to the creation of Primal Cacao Squares and Primal Protein Marshmallows.
After regularly eating Primal Sweets, not only did Isabel's levels of vitamin B12 increase, she felt more energized and satiated more frequently.
ISABEL'S BACKGROUND

Isabel has considered herself a "foodie" her whole life. She studied Food Science at the University of Missouri and founded a food-focused club with her best friend during college. Isabel was also a part of the collegiate Dairy Evaluation Team where she ranked various dairy-based products based on their quality and taste attributes.
After college, Isabel started her professional career working in food ingredient sales. She later proceeded to receive her master’s degree of science and business in Global Food Technology and Innovation from Rutgers University.
Isabel likes to spend her free time outside. Whenever it is a sunny day in Seattle, the first thing she wants to do is go on a hike with boyfriend. Isabel and her boyfriend have hiked over 50 trails around the Pacific Northwest. Some of their favorite ones include Lake Culchuck/The Enchantments, Mount Vesper, Ptarmigan Trail at Mount Baker, Heliotrope at Mount Baker, Mount Saint Helen Ridge Trail, Skyline Trail at Mount Rainier, and The North Cascade Pass Trail.
